On the islands of Kalymnos, Pserimos, Telendos, Santorini, Leros and Ios, an information and awareness raising campaign is being implemented for schoolchildren, residents and visitors on the importance of water as a heritage that must be protected and managed so that generations will hand over water in the same or even improved condition as when they received it. At the same time, information material is being developed with instructions and examples of good practices for saving, protecting and using water sustainably. Also, the development of bilateral relations between the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research and the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN) is promoted, in order to exchange experience and expertise, as well as good practices in the field of water resources management in both countries, drawing on the experience of mountain communities in Norway, from 1700 to the present day.
